  My grandson who is not yet 2 and a half yet attended Roundabout Group at Clevedon today, Tuesday 16 October. Upon my daughter collecting Ethan at 12.15pm, she found that he had NOT had a drink at all, or any food during the morning session. No one knew, when the key person julie was asked, whether Ethan had had a drink or not. When Emma checked his drink bottle, it was full. So he had not had a drink since he left home at 9am. Ethan was not shown where his drink was. He would have know his own drinking cup if he had been shown as he uses the same cup every day. The person in charge of the snacks asked Ethan if he wanted a snack. Ethan said "no"" because(1) he didnt know where the snacks were and wasnt shown where they were, and (2) he didnt understand the term snack. Allowing a child to go 3 hours without a drink or food is simply unhealthy and unacceptable. (His drinking cup supplied by my daughter was full when she collected Ethan lunchtime).
  When my daughter rang S. who we understand to be Manager/Play Leader; she giggled when my daughter outlined her concerns, i.e. Ethan didnt have a drink for 3 hours, or any food as he wouldnt understand the term "do you want a snack?" And it was his first day, lets not forget. He was a new boy. Quite frankly, S. may have all the qualifications on paper, but commonsense should have told the person in charge that Ethan should have been handed a drink and some food. He is after all not even 2 and a half yet, with limited conversation about what he should or shouldnt have.
  I quote Always happy to discuss concerns or queries with parents I understand is on Sams prospectus. So, giggling when my daughter expresses her concerns is entirely unacceptable and not at all professional.
  Inappropriate giggling behaviour by S. who is supposed to be a professional on paper, is not very reassuring. My daughter Emmas concerns were not taken seriously we feel as a family. We have no confidence in sending our tiny tot to your Roundabout Group.
  
  I want a personal reply and our concerns passed to a senior.
  
  needless to say we wont be recommending roundabout to parents
